K.J. Constantino and Emmanuel Santos combined to pitch six shutout innings to lead the Amsterdam modified ‘A’ baseball team to a 6-1 victory over Schuylerville in a Foothills Council modified baseball game at Four Diamonds on Wednesday.

Just 24 hours earlier, the Amsterdam modified ‘A’ baseball squad pulled off a dramatic 10-9 victory over Glens Falls in eight innings at the Morse Athletic Complex. The Rams trailed 7-1 after three innings and 9-2 after five innings in that contest before staging their comeback.

In Wednesday’s win over Schuylerville, Brady Foss lined three singles and Kai Brennan added two singles to lead the Amsterdam offense. Quinn Healy and Santos chipped in with a single apiece.

In the wild win over Glens Falls, Ryan Reagan delivered the big hit — an RBI double to left to score Brady Foss from third base in the top of the eighth inning that proved to be the difference.

Santos pitched the final two innings of relief to earn the win.

Offensively for Amsterdam, Foss finished with two doubles and Reagan added a double and single. Kai Brennan chipped in with a single and three runs scored and Anthony Antonelli and Brodie McNeil contributed with a single apiece.

The Amsterdam modified ‘A’ baseball squad is scheduled to host Scotia-Glenville at 10 a.m. at either Four Diamonds or Shuttleworth Park on Friday.
